At tonight's meeting we did many things with the Scouts, Map Reading (Carter is now an expert), the Ten Essentials, and the Sierra Patrol planned all the upcoming outings. We also did a candle relay race.

We also made more progress on our First Aid check sheets. We confirmed all the Scouts that will be going on the 10 mile beach hike from Topanga State Beach to the Santa Monica Pier and back. We ended out meeting with a Happy Birthday song to Chris P. and ate some chocholate cream pie.

The troop met at Glenoaks Community Center. Scouts reviewed this weekends camp out to Red Rock Canyon. Prepared for the Flag retirement ceremony which will be "LIVE" on KTLA in the morning. And finished the evening with a friendly game of "foot hockey."

The troop met at Glenoaks Community Center. Scouts started the evening with a friendly arm wrestling tournament. Cameron performed the opening ceremonies. Rehearsed the Flag Retirement Ceremony. Planned the meals for next weekends camping trip and studied the topographical map of the area.

The troop met at Glenoaks Community Center . Rehearsed the Flag Retirement Ceremony. Played Phatsew (tag ball with a soccer ball). Matt Fleming (Troop 8 Eagle Scout) spoke to us about becoming Volunteer Ministers. Planned the Red Rock trip.
