Dylan Purcell organized a blood drive for the American Red Cross which was responsible for collecting 48 unit of blood -- enough to potentially save 192 lives. Dylan, with a team of Scouts and volunteers recruited over 150 people in an attempt to get 50 qualified donors. 50 donations are all the Red Cross Bloodmobile can handle at one blood drive. Over 100 people showed up and the Red Cross Bloodmobile was working at full capacity until they ran out of collection kits. The drive was a thorough success.
Dylan personally logged a total of 92 hour on the project. The total number of hours for Dylan and all volunteers on the project was 242.
I am truly grateful to those honorable men and women who have taken time out of their lives to help me along the Eagle Trail. Thanks to my mother who gave me life and the righteous path in witch to live it.
Without my mother and those who have helped me, I would not know the skills and morals to be a man.
With much love, Dylan Purcell
